Brainerd Jaycees Street Fest on 7th: Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 3, in downtown Brainerd! Ribs, live music, children's games - how can you go wrong with the 10th Annual Brainerd Jaycees Street Fest on 7th in downtown Brainerd. Form a team and enter the rib competition or come cast your vote for the best ribs and best costumes! New this year check out the Battle of the Bands from noon to 5 p.m. Enjoy festivities throughout the day. Live bands will conclude the day's events with Shirts & Skins performing 7- 10 p.m. and Unknown Prophets performing 10-midnight. A great day of fun planned for people of all ages! Celebrate summer with an outdoor barbecue! The event will feature a rib-cooking competition, arts, crafts and food vendors, family activities and live music. Originally started in 2002 as the Great Northern BBQ, the Street Fest on 7th is now in its fourth year with its new name and format.The Brainerd Jaycees are a leadership development organization for men and women ages 18-40. Established in 1939, this chapter of 150 people donates more than $200,000 and 75,000 hours to the Brainerd Lakes Area annually. Our goal is to provide our guests, new and loyal, with a great dining experience every time they visit. Prairie Bay has been in Baxter for seven years now, and we work hard every day to set ourselves apart from the “chain” restaurants that you find just about everywhere.

We make nearly everything fresh, to order, for you and source as much local product as we can. There is lots for the kids as well, including pizzas, pastas, and the chef’s favorite grilled cheese. Our signature item and a must have is the Build your own Bruschetta. With more than 12 ingredients and garlic-brushed toasts, this fan favorite is a treat for the eyes and the taste buds.

Not only do we have a full-service restaurant, but we also cater events of any size, all year long. From pig roasts to large wedding receptions our goal is to bring the quality of an in-house dining experience to your event.
